  • Indepth guiding with experienced ornithologist
  • Opportunity to meet and ring birds with Tanzanian ornithologists
  • Combination of secluded lodges and luxury tented camps
  • Specially designed itineraries visiting the best birding spots in Tanzania

Tanzania offers some of the best ‘birding’ in the world, with a species list of 1128 species, of which 923 are resident birds and 192 are regular migrants. Our aim is to satisfy any level of birding enthusiast with personally designed itineraries to suit all levels of ‘birding’. From relaxed walks through forests to the comfort of our vehicles, seeking out some of Tanzania’s forest endemics in the Eastern arc forests or enjoying a day ringing (banding) forest birds with Tanzania ornithologists.

I personally prefer to combine safaris which incorporate bird watching in the context of their environment and combine lodges with private mobile camps. These safaris can combine national parks such as Tarangire and the Serengeti with remote locations, visits to wetlands as well as forest environments to insure a well rounded bird list whilst enjoying superb mammal watching.

I currently design and guide the Tanzania trips for the Audubon Society and the American Birding Association - trips that always record 320 species in 2 weeks! I also organise specialist trips for science based organisations who want to offer birders a chance to contribute to the Tanzanian Bird Atlas Project.
